Olsen and Brown ombudsman servicesOlsen & Brown has created copyrighted ombudsmen models for use in forward-thinking corporations, and as a general proposition, the programs pay for themselves in spades. The models assure the employees of independence and truth–seeking but also assure management of meaningful litigation avoidance.

Both employees and management must know that the system has integrity, with components embedded to assure confidentiality as each fact pattern may require. Structured anti-retaliation measures complement "open door" elements. All levels are taught that the ombudsman function is not a component of either legal or human resources, but independent of them. Reporting to Board, president, or CEO is not fundamentally required. Meaningful problem solving is. Ego-aside counseling at all levels is integral.

  • Olsen & Brown’s ombudsmen services are not provided if we have provided training that is considered to be confidential legal advice.
  • Olsen & Brown’s ombudsmen services are provided only for a fixed term of not less than 12 months.
  • Components of Olsen & Brown’s ombudsmen services are copyrighted and require non-disclosure agreements with both management and invoking employees.
  • Olsen & Brown’s ombudsmen services are not provided if we have provided documentary support for any other personnel system in place.
  • Olsen & Brown’s ombudsmen services are not available to employees or managers who are using outside resources regarding the same or similar issues.
